MELAKA, Oct 31 (Bernama) -- Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Paya Rumput state seat, Datuk Azman Abidin, is banking on his extensive experience and close ties with the federal government to better serve the constituency.
Speaking after submitting his nomination papers at Stadium Hang Jebat here today, he said Paya Rumput's semi-urban setting required a comprehensive approach to address the needs of both rural and urban communities.
"I can offer my experience to assist residents, facilitate their affairs and address their needs.
"My experience serving alongside the Prime Minister, as well as my ties with the federal government, can be put to good use in addressing the issues faced by Paya Rumput residents," he told reporters.
The Prime Minister's political secretary said he did not underestimate any of his opponents, noting that every candidate had their own strengths.
His main focus during the campaign would be to reach as many voters as possible and explain the services and welfare initiatives he could offer.
